Kiss me over the bridge?

- During my travels in Asia, I always use the trusty google maps, the Island of Phu Quoc has always been at the corner of my eye, bugging me for some strange reason, so what better time to visit than after the Ha Giang Loop, it was time to put the motorbike away and relax.
- The expectation is another island, with island-like towns and island-like people, but I was so wrong, what I found left me speechless, a newly built town and massive theme park, yet only a handful of people, where is everyone else? As the town isn’t 100% finished yet, I think I got in early before it gets crazy busy with locals and tourists.
- The new town named “Sunset Town”, on the south of the island was undergoing final touches, the Kiss Bridge wasn’t open to the public yet which will be all over social media soon as it looks terrific - if you have a loved one to share it with! Across from the bridge is a huge seating gallery perched upon a large structure they use to display a light and fire show every night with fireworks every Saturday. I had to see this as technology is coming on leaps and bounds, especially here in Asia. The show was magical, the fireworks lasted for 5-6 minutes and were spectacular, the combination of colours and effects surpassed my expectation and anything I’d seen before. Water pours down from the large structure while projectors and music tell a love story for you to follow along to. I brought my camera for this one, I’m inexperienced in night photography so thoroughly enjoyed this. The colourful streets which give a French/European vibe come alive at night with thoughtful lighting, producing a great night time atmosphere. I cannot wait to see more of this on social media in the future, it will be a hot spot for those with money anyway.
- Kiss Bridge is a bridge-like structure with a gap in the middle, the idea being you walk over one side and your partner the other, you meet in the middle and gently lean over the barrier and kiss, those on the other bridge running parallel can take photos with the sunset in the background. Yeah, this will be a beautiful spot for sure, have a look at this on YouTube also.
- Grand World, a theme park where whoever designed it and chose the rides done a very good job of it. The park layout is amazing, food and drink dotted everywhere at decent prices, so much to look at in the way of incredible design and architecture, all the latest rides and not too many of them which I like. There are two rollercoasters, one indoor and one outdoor, but let me tell you, they deliver the perfect amount of craziness. I went on both rollercoasters and the outdoor one left me white as a ghost and shaking, a super smooth ride too which is always excellent to feel. Spent the full day here and almost managed to get round all the dry attractions, didn’t pack my shorts for the water park as it needs a day in itself to visit.

- Loved Phu Quoc and made the right decision to come and explore it, highly recommended!
