Bangkok - The Blocks Hostel - 08/12 > 21/12

Uhh Oh - I have to get out of the habit of eating raw chicken.

- Somewhere in Loas I managed to pick up a tummy bug, thinking it would pass after a few days I continued with my travels. The stomach cramps were getting more and more severe along with running to the loo more and more often - not ideal whilst traveling! I lost my appetite and was getting a little low on energy, crossing the road from the hostel for a healthy Mcdonald’s became a task in itself.
- The only option was to pop into the hospital for tests and meds. Test results confirmed I had Campylobacter, a stomach bug from eating raw or part-cooked chicken or vegetables contaminated with raw chicken. This whole situation lasted 3 weeks and I was given azithromycin which cured me in 3 days.
- Now that I was on the mend, it was time to hit the beach; to Koh Chang, please!

- I did manage to get my feet wet at Bangkok’s water park, play many rounds of pool in Soi Cowboy, and purchase an Insta360 action camera for my future travels.
-The other guy in the photos is William, a Canadian chap I met on the boat from Chiang Rai to Luang Prabang. We’ve travelled for a few weeks together now and shared many good laughs!
